During last year’s historic Presidential campaign and since, We the People have been told that it is time for change. We have learned that our way of life has been one of conspicuous consumption and callous disregard for our own environment. We wage wars indiscriminately. Our political system is messy, with discontent on all sides barely containing a malcontented populace. Some folks with radical, individualistic views have even used dangerous and ugly rhetoric when dealing with our own elected officials. These actions strain an ample, perhaps too ample freedom of speech, and these potential terrorists are not being dealt with as they should. We have an immigration problem that is so large it can only be fixed by the total overhaul of our immigration policies. Private corporations take advantage of those already doing without and our government ignores the disadvantaged as well. These problems are endemic to the system we have in place and the time has come to fundamentally change our country but don’t worry, there’s hope.

After scouring the earth for a national model to live by, I think I have found the perfect country to design our own after, using President Obama’s Vision for America. The people of this country have a miniscule obesity problem and materialism is frowned upon. Virtually no one selfishly drives a gas guzzler; indeed, the citizens of this great land travel about their country responsibly, using only the most efficient means of transportation. Their military, while large enough to protect them from their neighbors, is isolationist in nature and they haven’t been at war in decades. Their exemplary political system is bereft of dissent, and operates with seemingly no threat of instability. Immigration issues in this great nation are non-existent. They do not share our love of or inherent problems with large private corporations. Their government feeds an estimated 62% of their population, both to show its high regard for its people and to make sure that nobody has to survive on less than another.

Notice how happy everyone seems, and the great spirit of community this glorious people has managed to capture that we have lost due to our individualism. Look at the great things that can be achieved with a liberal application of collectivism, and yes, the image in the background is a human mosaic. Yep, nobody does it like North Korea. We need to follow the directives of our own Dear Leader, Barack Obama, and work hard to transform the United States of America into a Westernized version of North Korea, before it’s too late. We need to act fast, before more selfish residents of this flawed country band together and fight the progressive Utopia we can build together if we keep hope alive. Don’t listen to the detractors who will surely say that creating a Utopia always ends in bloodshed, starvation and misery. Confront them with these facts about North Korea and they will surely see the error of their capitalist ways. Show them that the perfect Utopian model has failed simply because it has never been implemented correctly, that is until the Great Kim Il Sung and his Dear son Kim Jong Il, brought and maintained paradise in Heaven on Earth, North Korea. YES, PRESIDENT OBAMA, WE CAN!

I’m sure glad I didn’t suffer the same degree of government indoctrination that kids do in school today. These videos show what kind of crap is being stuffed into the heads of schoolchildren all over the country. You’ve probably seen the first video by now, it’s been on the boob tube for several days. I really love the equal work for equal pay part. That’s a great way to instill the good ole’ American competitive spirit. The first half of the song is a corruption of Jesus Loves the Little Children, with Obama’s name in place of Jesus, and the second half is a bastardization of the Battle Hymn of the Republic. Mmm mmm mmm.

This one claims to show the Obama Youth Brigade, and is pretty militaristic. Isn’t that nice? A decent teacher would have these kids watch the old made-for-tv 80’s movie, The Wave. Here’s part 2. It’s dated, but based on a true story.

In fairness to the President, he has not yet mandated these vulgar displays of indoctrination; that award goes to the “educators” of the hapless victims in these videos. Imagine the outcry, and not just from the left, if children were forced to sing the praises of George Bush.

Historically, kids in this country haven’t been taught to worship their leaders. That peculiarity has normally been reserved for the young subjects of totalitarian dictators. I suppose that’s more of the change we should be believing in. Couple this with the fact that our Dear Leader wants the little kiddies to have a longer school year and you have a recipe that smells like Hitler Youth.

UPDATE: I just came across this one from last December. How this one slipped through the cracks I have no idea. It shows people praying, yes PRAYING to Obama. WTF?

This one’s for the Tea Partiers:
As I fellow tea party protester, I have to ask: Why weren’t any Tea Party protesters at the G20 summit in Pittsburgh? I know that the G20 has historically been a target of the left, but when I was at the march in DC I saw plenty of signs saying Follow the Constitution, etc. I realize that most protesters at the summit are there to protest capitalism and the free market in general, and that’s their right. However, President Obama spoke there and said that the multiple porkulus programs he implemented earlier in the year are working. Do my fellow tea partiers agree with this assertion? Obama further stated that G-20 leaders would spare no effort to reach a global warming agreement at an international gathering later this year in Copenhagen. Sound good to you? How about giving more power to the International Monetary Fund? Are you telling me that you couldn’t come up with a sign that showed that anarchy AND globalist policies are wrong? Does any of this have anything to do with following the Constitution? I would have gone but couldn’t afford to, however I did expect to see some kind of representation from the newly awakened protesters from the right. Are you all so partisan that you can’t even put your ideological differences aside even when you share a common enemy with the left? Is it really true that “The enemy of my enemy is my friend”? Really? If that’s so, allow me to show you the face of the true enemy. It is not the misguided anarchist students that got beat up over the weekend. It is those who would violate the Constitution with no regard to the fact that they are doing it on camera to Fellow Citizens. Watch the following two videos. You will not see anarchists breaking windows and dumping over trash cans. You will see Fellow Citizens merely peaceably assembling, which according to the United States Constitution and Natural Law is not a privilege requiring a permit, but a right endowed upon all human beings at birth. See for yourself and decide who was in the wrong.


I’ve heard countless Tea Party protesters shouting “I want my country back!” Is this what you had in mind? If not, where were you? Even if you don’t agree with the ideals of the people on the street, you do agree that they had a right to be there, don’t you? You could have demonstrated against the Nazi tactics employed by these thugs in uniform if nothing else. Are you all fair weather fighters? If so, don’t bother protesting anymore. You don’t have the stomach for it; maybe your children will. If not, maybe your grandchildren will. The First Amendment applies to all of us, and if you stand idly by as these people have their First Amendment rights violated on camera, then you may be next.

This post is meant to arm you with the ability to listen online to police scanners nationwide, and record them if you want to. I came across this information when looking up info on the G20 summit and associated protests, and thought I would pass it on. As a tea party protester the police haven’t yet been the problem, but this could change anytime and as we all know, the price of freedom is eternal vigilance. I also thought it was kinda cool to be able to listen online to the police go about their day-to-day activities almost anywhere in the country without the need of a police scanner.

First, you need to go to http://www.radioreference.com. From there, put your mouse over the button that says “Live Audio”. Move the mouse down to the “Live Scanners” link and click it. You will be taken to a page that has a map of the United States. After clicking the state that interests you, select the appropriate county or scroll down to see all scanners available in the state. After you select a county, a selection of scanners in that county will be shown. You may click on the speaker in the left hand column if you just want to listen, but if you want to record you will need to do a little more. The easiest way to record these broadcasts is to download the Freecorder toolbar. This is a modified Ask.com toolbar that works with Internet Explorer, and records anything (that I’ve come across) that is played in the browser window. You will need to change the “Player Selection” window on RadioReference’s page to “Web Player” to get the live scanner to play in the browser window instead of your media player. A small window will pop up that the toolbar won’t record, but if you copy and paste the address from the player window into your browser you can record what you are hearing. Some folks don’t like adding toolbars to their browsers, myself included, but I usually use Firefox for browsing anyway, so adding a toolbar to a browser I’ll only use for this purpose was no big deal. The Freecorder toolbar has options that allow you to convert the audio you capture into many different formats and allows the recording of video as well. It’s just that easy. And it’s free. I tried to figure out how to record audio from Winamp and Windows Media Player and for whatever reason it wasn’t working, probably pilot error, so I went with this method. Have fun!
