Tyrants Love Gun Control
-and so does our current administration, but perhaps I’m being redundant.
I have tried to find the original source of this article because I would like to give them credit. It’s in lots of places and in many forms. It’s a little dated, but timely nonetheless. Be sure to click the link at the bottom to see what the current administration has in mind for all of us.
If anyone knows where this came from or would like to add to or refute the assertions please respond in the comments section.

How many thought it could never happen to them?
It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by their own government, a program costing Aust ralia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars. The first year results are now in:
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed.
There has also been a dramatic increase in break- ins and assaults of the ELDERLY. Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in successfully ridding Australian society of guns. The Australian experience and the other historical facts above prove it.
You won’t see this data on the US evening news , or hear politicians
disseminating this information. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note my fellow Americans, before it’s too late!
The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.
With guns, we are ‘citizens’.
Without them, we are ’subjects’.
During WWII the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were ARMED!
Note: Admiral Yamamoto who crafted the attack on Pearl Harbor had attended Harvard U 1919-1921 & was Naval Attache to the U. S. 1925-28. Most of our Navy was destroyed at Pearl Harbor & our Army had been deprived of funding & was ill prepared to defend the country. It was reported that when asked why Japan did not follow up the Pearl Harbor attack with an invasion of the U. S. Mainland, his reply was that he had lived in the U.S. and knew that almost all households had guns.
Australian Gun Law Update
Here’s a thought to warm some of your hearts…
From: Ed Chenel, A police officer in Australia
Hi Yanks, I thought you all would like to see the real figures from Down Under. It has now been 12 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by our own government, a program costing Australia taxpayers more than $500 million dollars.
The first year results are now in:
Australia-wide, homicides are up 6.2 percent,
Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6 percent ;
Australia-wide, armed robberies are up 44 percent (yes, 44 percent)!
In the state of Victoria alone, homicides with firearms are now up 300 percent.
(Note that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not and criminals still possess their guns!)
While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months, since the criminals now are guaranteed that their prey is unarmed. There has also been a dramatic increase in break-ins and assaults of the elderly, while the resident is at home.
Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety has decreased, after such monumental effort and expense was expended in “successfully ridding Australian society of guns.” You won’t see this on the American evening news or hear your governor or members of the State Assembly disseminating this information.
The Australian experience speaks for itself. Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property and, yes, gun-control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.
Take note Americans, before it’s too late!
RantNation would like to add that no matter what Eric Holder and Barack Obama want you to believe, the Second Amendment is not in the Constitution to ensure your hunting rights, it exists to defend you from tyranny. Anyone who says otherwise is either uninformed or an informed liar, and I think I’ve made it clear where I stand in regards to our current administration. As a former military type I took an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and I’m trying to do that by writing this post. Don’t allow these enemies of the Constitution to disarm you in the name of safety. History shows that nothing could be farther from the truth.
The link above goes to an article that has Eric Holder saying he wants to re-institute the ban on assault weapons. I assume he is speaking of the Brady Bill which didn’t ban assault weapons but banned the importation of them. Existing weapons could be “freely” bought and sold in most places. This is much worse, in his own words.

OpenCarry.org has an excellent state-by-state listing of your rights to defend yourself. You may be surprised to know what is allowed in your state. Their forum is a great place to get an idea of the political climate. Know and exercise your rights. Openly carrying your sidearm in public not only keeps you and everyone around you safe, it helps to desensitize the public to the sight of a firearm and gives you a chance to inform them of their rights. I know of an organization in Wyoming doing that very thing, and it has gone a long way towards educating the public and law enforcement, and I am a new member. There are surely more.
Here is a video that clearly illustrates why we need the Second Amendment. It is the testimony of a woman who survived the 1991 Luby’s Cafeteria shooting in Texas. Her name is Suzanna Gratia Hupp. The madman didn’t almost get her killed, legislators did. The difference is very important, as she and Penn and Teller aptly illustrate in this clip. Warning: Penn uses some rather colorful language.

Now that you hopefully are pretty pissed off, watch this clip that demonstrates the stupidity of the current climate and makes you laugh too. ;o)
